Digital treatment planning for dental implants has now become the standard of care. At Digital Dental Solutions we aim to make this process as easy as possible for the clinician. Our goal is to complete 90% of the work for you so that your time can be spent in the chair with the patient without having to invest in expensive computer software programs or spending hours at the computer. Cases can be uploaded through our HIPPA compliant portal and we will take it from there.
Once the files are received the planning process will begin. All cases are first digitally waxed up for ideal esthetics and function. The implants are then positioned digitally in the software in the best bone while also trying to maintain the esthetic and functional outcome.
A full report is generated and sent to the clinician for approval. The report will detail the restorative plan as well as the surgical plan. The clinician can take this information one of three directions. They can approve the case as planned, respond with some simple changes, or request a online review of the case to discuss.
Once the case is approved the guide is manufactured based on the specifications of the desired implant system and surgical kit. Surgical guides can be manufactured as tooth borne guides for simple case, mucosa borne guides for edentulous cases, or bone borne or stackable for more complex cases. Custom healing abutments can also be ordered with the case to help scallop the soft tissues to the ideal contours during the healing phase.
